Knit Alongs (KALs) are a fun, social activity in which a group of knitters all make the same project in a specified timeframe. Our hosted knit alongs are complete with kits filled with the right yarn for the project, often in exclusive colours, and include exclusive or limited edition gifts to make the experience that much more exciting.
The Hiberknitalong will feature the Glittering Snowscape Shawl. This year's HKAL kits include the Hiberknitting 4 e-book, which contains 8 brand new Westknits patterns  including the Glittering Snowscape  Shawl. 

Please note Hiberknitting 4 is available as an e-book only, there is no print version.

Our system doesn’t hold stock that you have in your shopping cart. Your order is only confirmed once payment has been received.

Our top tips for HKAL ordering is to add any extra items you'd like with your HKAL to your basket ahead of time and to make sure you already have a Stephen & Penelope account.

We're also able to combine most orders as long as your first order hasn't already reached our processing department. If you would like to place an additional order to combine with a previous one, make sure to write a note in the additional order, noting your first order number and we will do our best to match them up and ship together.

Because of the volume of orders, unfortunately it's not possible to wind yarn in HKAL kits.

All customers outside of the European Economic Area (whose order is shipped outside of the EEA) will have the sales tax deducted at check out. Once your address is added during the check out process, you will be shown your invoice without tax.

You can always use a work or trusted friend's address to send your package in the case that you won't be home to receive it yourself.

During the HKAL our orders can take a bit longer to ship out than usual but we'll be working hard to get your order out as soon as possible. We'll be shipping throughout November to ensure you get your kit before the December 26 cast on date!

Of course! You're more than welcome to purchase additional kits. Our top tip would be to add them to your cart using 'quick add' to avoid being taken straight to your shopping cart and away from the HKAL kit selection.

You can definitely order your kit to be picked up in store. Just know that it takes a few weeks for us to process the HKAL kit orders, so make sure you've received a message that your order is ready before heading to the shop. You will receive an email notification when your order is ready to be picked up and we hold pick up orders in the store for no longer than 1 month.

Not yet. The HKAL gifts are initially only available as part of our official HKAL kits.

Please bear in mind that changing your address can cause delays to your order. Unfortunately, we're not able to change a shipment address once it has been sent.
