Spiraling Cables by Stephen West

The triangular shape begins at the small point and increases sideways toward the wide border. Slip stitches form the crisp cables and stripes and you only have to work with one color at a time. The spiraling cables flow into a diamond trellis pattern and a picot hem finishes the edge of the shawl. Choose a solid main color like West Wool Tandem combined with a self-striping yarn like Spincycle Yarns Dream State or Schoppel Wolle Stärke 6. These marled self-striping yarns form the most fascinating background stripes for a fun knitting project.

Yarn Requirements: 2 skeins of DK weight yarn in a solid colour and 1 ball of self striping DK weight yarn.
