Edinburgh Yarn Festival - March

Every year around this time we start to get really excited and anxious about EYF.  Preparations are going on with all our dyers busy like bees preparing stock for us to bring.  This year we're focusing on three brands, West Wool, Fru Valborg and Qing Fibre.

West Wool  will have it's yarn festival debut at EYF!  We'll have all 24 colours in two bases available in large quantities for every kind of project.  If you're attending, come prepared with a pattern or inspiration. All the colours of West Wool will be online and available to shop before EYF, but if you aren't in Amsterdam, this may be your first chance to touch this yarn.
Fru Valborg  is one of the yarns that, besides their online store, is exclusively available at Stephen & Penelope. The Merino Swirl base is exclusive to our store, and we've got lots of custom colours in this yarn!  It just seemed perfect that we bring it with us to EYF!  If you're coming to the Festival, come and say hi to Petra (owner and lead dyer) at our stand.  If not, you can always pick some up in our online shop.
Qing Fibre  is in Stephen's top 5 hand dyers for good reason.  Layla is an artist first and foremost.  Her dedication to the art shows in her colourways and the combinations that can be made with her yarns.  At EYF we'll bring her (non-superwash) BFL base, and the Melted Surishe is known for.  It's a perfect mix of hand-dyed yarn, but without the superwash qualities you've come to expect from a hand-dyer.
