When we’ve run big sales in the past, sometimes things get a little bananas, so we wanted to arm you with some info so you’re prepared for the yarnstravaganza! Please bear in mind that our customer service team are super stars, but they are dealing with a huge volume of email over the weekend and into next week. We appreciate your patience if a response to your email takes a little longer than usual.
How do I get my discount?
In store at our Amsterdam store, your 10% discount on yarn will automatically be applied at check out.
Online, enter code SBS2020 at checkout to receive 10% off all yarn in your order.
What does the discount apply to?
All yarn! (And only yarn.)
Can I combine this order with a previous one or combine a future order with one I place during the sale?
Usually we try to accommodate combining orders. During high volume times like these, combining is not possible. We often get the orders shipped out before the next order that you place so please don't count on combining shipping if you place another order hot on the heels of this one.
I hear these sales get crazy, what if I try to buy something that someone else has in their cart?
Our system doesn’t hold stock that you have in your shopping cart. Your order is only confirmed once payment has been received. Occasionally, if two customers are checking out at exactly the same time, our system can oversell an item. If this happens to you, our lovely customer service team will contact you to discuss options.
How long will the sale run?
The sale runs from 18:00PM on Friday 26 November until 6:00AM on Sunday 28 November (Amsterdam time), so you have all day Saturday to shop in store, and a little Friday head start if you're shopping online.
Drat! I just placed an order and I forgot to put in the code, can I get the discount honoured?
As long as your order was placed within the time for the sale, we are happy to refund you your discount. Please just respond to the order email we sent you when you placed your order and we will refund you the amount of the discount within a few days of the sale ending.
Can I get my yarn wound?
Because of the volume of orders, winding yarn will add significant delays to shipping your order. Please contact our customer service team at [email protected] for more information.
Do I pay tax if I’m not from Europe?
All customers outside of the European Economic Area (whose order is shipped outside of the EEA) will have the sales tax deducted at check out. Once your address is added during the check out process, you will be shown your total without tax.
Crumbs! I just made a big order with you last week, can I get the discount honoured?
Our usual return policy is still in place during the sale, so you can request a refund and repurchase. Please note the cut off times for the sale and our Terms and Conditions for returns (yarn must be unwound and all products must be returned in original state; shipping is non-refundable).
What if I buy a skein of yarn, then change my mind about the colour and want to exchange it?
If you make the exchange request after the sale has ended, we give you credit for your original purchase which is then applied to your new skein. This means we will charge the difference between the sale and non-sale price for all exchanges after the sale ends.
