SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR: PART/FULL TIME (32-37 HOURS)  

As a systems administrator at Stephen & Penelope, you will be a part of the systems team, reporting to our operations manager.  You will be on a team responsible for managing inventory, creating and processing purchase orders, and task associated with tracking and listing product for sale on our website. Sometimes this means counting and checking in product and importing and exporting data to our product management software.  Other times this will mean implementing creative or functional changes to the website.  

Duties will include but are not limited to:  

  • Creating POs, checking in stock, communicating with suppliers, keeping track of shipments, communicating efficientlyboth within your team and with other teams in the business, importing and exporting data, managing spreadsheet documents, and problem solving for logistics within your department.

To be considered for this role, you must:  

  • Have experience with spreadsheets and be highly competent in Microsoft Excel
  • Be competent with Shopify, Lightspeed, Magento, Wordpress, or similar cloud-based website system.
  • Have an organised approach to file and version management.
  • Possess excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Be able to work towards targets, prioritize work, and efficiently manage workload.
  • Have a positive attitude towards curveballs and other unexpected changes in routines.

Additionally valued skills:  

  • HTML, CSS, or any familiarity with coding is a plus but not required.

  • Business location is Amsterdam Nieuwmarkt area. Currently this role can not be performed at home.

GEVRAAGD: EEN PART-TIME VERKOOPMEDEWERKER (20-30 UUR) MET EEN WEEKEND DAG PER WEEK

 We zijn op naar vriendelijke, gemotiveerde, enthousiaste collega's die houden van wol en dat graag met iedereen delen. Sollicitanten moeten kunnen breien en onze klanten goed kunnen adviseren over hun wol en patroonkeuzes. Je hoeft geen master in breien te hebben maar we verwachten wel een gedegen kennis van stekenverhouding, garen diktes, en het lezen van patronen. De rest kunnen wij je leren!

De functie heeft ook fysieke aspecten zoals het ophangen en verplaatsen van wol en af en toe het tillen van dozen en boeken.

  • Vloeiend in Nederlands en een goede kennis van de Engelse taal

  • Goede communicatieve vaardigheden
  • Ervaring met winkeluitstalling is een plus

WE'RE HIRING PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME ONLINE CUSTOMER SERVICE HELP 

We're looking for friendly, self-motivated, enthusiastic people with a love for knitting and the desire to share it.  Applicants must be able to knit and can advise customers on yarn and pattern choices.  It's not necessary to be a "master" knitter, but a good strong understanding of gauge, yarn thicknesses, and reading patterns is important.  We'll teach you everything else you need to know! 

The role requires using multiple computer applications for communication, shipping, and inventory management.

  • proficient English and preferably also Dutch (written and spoken)
  • tidy and detail oriented
  • familiar with Mac OS

IN-HOUSE PHOTOGRAPHER 

 
As a photographer at Stephen & Penelope, you will be a part of the creative team, reporting to one of our creative team managers.  You will be responsible for photographing all product for our website and working with our creative team on social media photography. Sometimes this means lengthy, high volume photo sessions for e-com products.  Other times this will mean styled shots for advertising and marketing efforts. 

Duties will include but are not limited to: 
  • Preparing images for new product launches and flash sales. This includes photography, image editing, and otherwise preparing images for social media campaigns, print, and website use.

To be considered for this role, you must: 
  • Have experience as a photographer for product and/or marketing purposes.  Suitable experience as a photography student may also be considered.
  • Be competent with Adobe Photoshop for photo editing.
  • Have experience with simple studio lighting set up for consistent, colour accurate e-com product photography.
  • Have exceptional attention to detail for styling, and be able to maintain it for high volume photoshoots.
  • Have an organised approach to file and version management.
  • Be able to work within our existing file naming conventions and other in-house taxonomy.
  • Possess excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Be able to work towards targets, prioritize work, and efficiently manage workload.
  • Have a positive attitude towards curveballs and other unexpected changes in routines. 
Additionally valued skills: 
  • Adobe Illustrator
