RAMIE SILK - RUST

DESCRIPTION

Mominoki’s Ramie Silk is a light and special yarn blend consisting of virgin wool, silk and ramie. The inclusion of ramie means this fine yarn is tougher than other wool and silk blends, making it a plastic free option for knitting socks. Despite this added robust quality, this yarn remains brilliantly soft given the wool and silk blend – it is a pleasure to work with.
Ramie is a natural fibre made from a Southeast Asian plant that is related to nettle. It is one of the oldest fibre plants used by humans and it lends a particular shine to the fibre. Light and cool, Ramie Silk is well suited for summer projects.

We love Mominoki's subtle semi-solids and lightly speckled colourways, and on the Ramie Silk, the natural light heathering and sheen adds extra depth and dimension.
