DESCRIPTION
Soft Silk Mohair is a lace weight blend of 70% RMS Mohair and 30% cruelty free silk. We love this textural yarn for adding a fuzzy halo and extra drape and sheen to our stitches. Soft Silk Mohair can be used alone or held double with another strand of yarn to add tonal depth to your project.
RMS stands for Responsible Mohair Standard. It means that the Mohair goats are raised to high welfare standards, and the mill that processes the yarn meets ethical, technical and environmental standards. Knitting for Olive ensure that their yarns are traceable back to the individual farm, farmers and goats. Cruelty Free Silk is harvested after the silkworm moth has been allowed to mature and emerge from the cocoon. Both components speak to Knitting for Olive’s commitment to ethically produced yarns.
