Old Maiden Aunt's Merino/Bamboo is a springy fingering weight yarn consisting of 80% Superwash Merino and 20% Bamboo fibres. This winning combination of luxury and durability results in a hardwearing yet bouncy skein hardy enough to socks, but luxe enough for shawls or garments with a lovely drape and sheen.
Bamboo is a sustainable fibre with great strength and abrasion resistant qualities. It also absorbs moisture well and the breathable, perfect for socks as well as other breezy garments. Old Maiden Aunt yarns are hand dyed in Scotland by Lilith in a small dye studio in her garden.
