CANAL RING - DUTCH CORNFLOWER

Canal Ring was designed by Stephen to celebrate the launch of our house yarn brand, West Wool in 2019.

The large semi-circular shawl was inspired by the clean lines and architecture along the beautiful canal rings of our city of Amsterdam. Twisted ribbing increases and decreases along the wingspan, producing scalloped edges. The clean body of the shawl features stockinette and reverse stockinette fabric while intarsia is used to highlight the striped rings throughout the body of the shawl. A final chevron border in twisted ribbing decorates the final shawl shape.
