YAL 2023 - FLORA

This year's Westknits Yarn A Long is inspired by fresh florals with lush and harmonious hand dyed yarn palettes and radiant pops of color. Each month in May, June, and July you will receive a curated collection of custom colors to knit a brand new shawl. Each yarn package contains surprise semi-solid and speckled colorways dyed on super soft wool or wool blend bases.

You can expect a range of shades like coral, gold, and pink to blue and purple flashes of color. There will be some soft, sophisticated, and subtle tones as well that will take your breath away. Each yarn package also includes special knitting related gifts designed by Malia Mae Joseph inspired by our Flora theme.

Our featured dyers this year are Punk Rock Unicorn from Germany, Artemis Yarns from France, and Sysleriget from Denmark. Each dyer contributed a beautiful bouquet of custom colors for you to knit each shawl throughout the summer months. We love designing these Yarn A Long packages and including exciting new knitting techniques for you to try. It's a wonderful opportunity to learn something new as we surprise you with gorgeous hand dyed color palettes and coordinating accessories and tools.

We were so inspired by our theme this year that we've gone all the way with our custom designed gifts and yarn selections. Each Yarn Along kit contains skeins from a different dyer.

Participants in the 2023 Yarn A Long will receive:

• 10 skeins of fingering weight yarn in soft wool or wool blend fibres. These yarns are all exclusive to Stephen & Penelope and developed especially for the Yarn A Long!
• Several knitting related gifts. Past gifts included stitch markers, needle gauges, notebooks, etc...
• PDF e-book of all three shawl patterns designed for the yarn (exclusive to participants for 6 months!)
• A project bag comes in the first delivery
• An achievement badge comes in the last delivery.
