Elliyah Dyson is the founder of Devout Hand, an independent knitwear label based in Amsterdam, born from her love for slow fashion, handicraft, and nostalgia. She began crocheting and knitting clothes for herself and friends in 2020, and after creating more pieces than she could wear, she launched an online platform to sell her designs: Devout Hand was born.
Since then, Elliyah has taught herself how to write patterns, and after a few designs quickly spread across the internet, things took off. She was able to quit her job in marketing and start creating knitwear patterns full-time. Her goal is to make crafting and slow fashion more accessible by creating unique, affordable, and easy-to-follow crochet and knitting patterns, with straightforward explanations on how to make cute stuff.
Her design speciality is tapestry crochet, and her work often features standout colours and prints with a nostalgic feel. Her pieces are quirky, yet they also carry a modern design element.
