About Merino Aran

Life in The Long Grass' Merino Aran is the perfectly squishy aran weight yarn you've been waiting for. Spun from 100% Superwash Merino, it has that irresistible combination of softness and bounce that makes it a genuine pleasure to knit with - and at aran weight, projects come together at a deeply satisfying pace, making it an ideal choice when you want something cosy and close-to-skin without a long wait. Think warm hats, snuggly cowls, and chunky cold-weather layers that you'll actually want to wear straight off the needles. Each skein is hand dyed in Ireland using LITLG's beautiful, nature-inspired palette - the kind of colours that feel quietly rooted in the landscape, and that work just as well in bold statement shades as they do in softer, more muted tones.
