The socks begin with the ribbed cuff followed by stripes and slip stitches on the leg. You only work with one colour a time while working the simple slip stitch pattern. The top of the foot is knit flat with the same slip stitch columns. Then, the heel flap and heel turn are worked in a pop of colour. The gusset and sole of the sock are knitted flat in stockinette stitch while being seamlessly attached to the top foot fabric.
