About the Role:We’re looking for a proactive, hands-on supervisor to lead our E-Commerce operations. In this role, you’ll oversee daily order fulfilment and inbound logistics, support and coordinate the team, and ensure that our customers’ yarn dreams are delivered smoothly and on time. You’ll balance planning, problem-solving, and coaching—while staying closely connected to the day-to-day flow. Your Leadership Mission:

Order Fulfilment & Logistics Oversight

  • Supervise daily order processing to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely dispatch. Set priorities, monitor workloads, and step in when needed to keep orders flowing
  • Oversee incoming shipments from suppliers and ensure goods are checked in correctly. Coordinate the movement of yarn between store and office, maintaining smooth internal logistics

Customer Service Focus

  • Oversee daily customer service activity, ensuring emails are answered promptly, accurately, and in line with our brand voice.
  • Guide and support the team in resolving order issues, stepping in on complex cases to ensure fair, consistent outcomes.

Team Leadership & Communication

  • Act as a key point of communication between logistics, e-commerce, and retail teams, and identify opportunities to improve workflows, organisation, and efficiency
  • Lead by example— be ready to jump in and pack orders, answer customer service emails, or ride the bakfiets when needed

Analysis and Development

  • Research, test, and roll out smart Shopify+ apps that make our e-commerce operations smoother, faster, and happier.
  • Dive into reports, shipping partners, and shipping rates to spot insights, optimize costs, and keep our yarn moving efficiently.

Your Superpowers:

  • Craft Connoisseur: Knitting and crochet experience, or willingness to learn!

We’re looking for a passionate and people-focused Store Manager to lead our Amsterdam shop — a welcoming and inspiring space where makers come together to explore creativity. As Store Manager, you’ll combine your love of fibre arts with your proven retail leadership skills, shaping a vibrant store experience where both customers and staff feel valued and inspired.

What You’ll Do:

You’ll be the driving force behind the smooth and successful running of the shop. Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering a 5-star, personalised customer experience that delights every visitor.
  • Leading, motivating, and developing a team of Sales Associates and Supervisors.
  • Driving sales while keeping customer care at the heart of everything.
  • Staying knowledgeable about our full product range — from fibre qualities to project results.
  • Ensuring the shop always looks its best with beautifully presented displays.
  • Managing transactions, promotions, and inventory with accuracy and care.
  • Creating a supportive, inclusive, and inspiring workplace culture.
  • Taking ownership as a keyholder, ensuring smooth opening and closing procedures.
  • Representing the store at monthly management meetings.

What We’re Looking For:

We’d love to meet someone who brings both commercial drive and creative passion.

Our ideal Store Manager has:

  • At least intermediate knitting skills (crochet a plus!).
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken), plus a good level of spoken Dutch.
  • Availability to work 38 hours per week, across 5 days.
  • 3+ years of experience in customer service, including proven time as a Supervisor or Manager.
  • Strong organisational skills — tidy, precise, and detail-oriented.
  • Experience with loss prevention and inventory control.
  • A proactive, growth-minded approach to challenges.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends.
