Dark Omen Yarn is an indie dyer based in sunny Spotorno, Italy. Run by Francesco Rosa, his yarn adventure began in his university days when he decided to learn how to knit.

His hobby grew and grew leading him to a workshop with Stephen West. Here, he was introduced to the wonderful woolly world of hand dyed yarns and was inspired to pursue an apprenticeship in dying skeins of his own. He then founded Dark Omen Yarn in 2020. Through the medium of colour, Francesco invites you to meet the demons we face throughout our lives and create something beautiful.
