Grand Shetland Adventure Knits is the first co-authored book by knitwear designers Mary Jane Mucklestone and Gudrun Johnston — a love letter to the Shetland Islands, their nature, traditions and people. Featuring 14 knitwear patterns perfect for a Shetland adventure, from cosy socks and hats to colourwork sweaters, the book weaves together knitting and travel through short stories of Mary Jane and Gudrun’s favourite places on the islands. Despite Shetland’s small size and remote location, its impact on the world of knitting has been immeasurable — and this book captures exactly why.
Included patterns: 14 patterns: 3 sweaters, 2 cardigans, 1 vest, 2 hats, 2 shawls, 1 cowl, 2 pairs of socks, 1 pair of gloves.
