Choose two colours of chunky weight wool like West Wool Cargo to knit this cosy, textured hat. The brim begins with 2x2 ribbing followed by stripes and cabled slip stitches. The main colour is worked for four rows as you slip the contrast colour stitches. The contrast colour is worked for two rows with a simple cable cross to form the meandering stony stream pattern. The chunky yarn yields a plush fabric that is quick to knit and warm to wear. I recommend this hat pattern for a beginner cable project and a quick last minute gift knit. Finished Measurements
