Our designer of the month for November is the talented Sari Nordlund who lives by the sea in Finland.
Sari is a professional knitwear designer. Despite vowing to never touch needles and yarn again after failed attempts at knitting in her childhood, she now loves spending most of her time knitting and especially knitting cables, giving life to stunning pieces for our delight.
The gifted Sari was published in Laine Magazine, Woolfolk’s Pre fall 19 Lookbook and Making Stories Magazine.
Sari’s design work is inspired by Scandinavian minimalism and Nordic nature. She loves to create timeless classics and brings her love for contemporary Scandinavian design into her knitting patterns. Sari loves knitting cables and all kinds of textured stitches using rustic natural fibres in neutral colours, but doesn’t shy away from colour work or lace either.
Throughout November, we will have some of our favourite designs by Sari on display in our brick and mortar store: the breathtaking Rococo Pullover, the beautiful duo of Poet Socks and Poet Pullover and the August Hat.
