Twists & Turns was the 13th MKAL shawl filled with a collage of twisting textures and three colors of yarn. This large shawl featured a fun braided loop technique in the first chevron section followed by short rows, twisted stitches, and cables galore. Knitters never knew exactly where this shawl was going until the the final angular shape was revealed. If you're looking for something to knit with exciting details in every section, then this shawl is for you. It features two skeins of the main color + two skeins of a contrast color + one accent color pop. This shawl was especially fascinating to watch how knitters customized the border with their own creative modifications like modular inlays which decorated the chevron points or tassels. I fell in love with Neighborhood Fiber Co. Organic Rustic Fingering while knitting this shawl. This single ply non-superwash wool is so velvet-y soft and plush to knit with. It added a voluminous soft structure to the fabric, exaggerating all of the crisp textures and Twists & Turns design details.
