What is Yarn A Long?

Yarn A Long is an annual knit-along and yarn club hosted by Stephen & Penelope. Each year, participants receive three individual shipments—one per month in May, June, and July—packed with exclusive hand-dyed yarn, stunning patterns, and delightful surprises.

The 2024 Theme: Architexture

This year, we're diving deep into the design themes of architectural shawl shapes and textured stitches with our theme: Architexture. Expect bold geometric shapes, playful pops of colour, and mesmerising textures that will take your knitting game to new heights!

What to Expect in Your YAL Package

Each YAL shipment includes:

1. Exclusive hand-dyed yarn from three of our favourite dye houses.
2. Exclusive shawl patterns designed by Stephen West and Malia Joseph.
3. A knitting-related gift to add some extra joy to your crafting experience.

Plus, the first shipment comes with a stylish Westknits project bag, and the final shipment includes an embroidered achievement badge to celebrate your YAL journey!

Best Practices for Ordering

Here are some handy tips for ordering your YAL subscription:

• Register an account with us before placing your order for easy order tracking.
• We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, and ShopPay for payments.
• Postage covers all three shipments, and we use UPS and DPD for shipping.
• Unfortunately, we can't deliver to PO boxes, so make sure your delivery address is not a PO box.

• Where's My Yarn?: Shipments are sent out in batches to ensure everyone receives their yarn around the same time. Most orders will arrive within 3-6 days of leaving our shop.
• Where's My Pattern?: Pattern download codes are sent via email with your order confirmation. If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder or contact our customer service team at orders@stephenandpenelope.com.
• I'm Allergic to Certain Fibers, What's the Fibre Content?: This year's YAL yarns feature a variety of fingering weight merino wool and luxurious blends of merino, yak, and silk. All yarns are soft and smooth to knit with.
