YAL 2018

The YAL 2018 featured two newer dyers, La Bien Aimée and Uschitita together with Skein Yarn from Australia, which was one of the first hand dyed yarns carried at Stephen & Penelope when it was then called Penelope Craft. The range of these designs is particularly interesting because there was the simple and understated Cafe Knitting shawl in neutrals, the large Meshy Twist shawl in the juiciest colors with an ornate border, and a show stopping slip stitch stunner called Deco Drape. Deco Drape was actually designed years before this Yarn A Long, but was never published. Sometimes Westknits has some hidden gems in his shawl shelves that appear during YAL season.
