YAL 2022 DYER PROFILE: BIRCH HOLLOW FIBERS

Our first YAL Dyer for 2022 is Birch Hollow Fibers! We are so excited to have Robin on board and we can't wait to share the stunning colours she has dyed up for us. Robin is collaborating with Dusty Dimples for this years YAL.

Birch Hollow Fibers is hand-dyed by Robin out of her home in the Hudson Valley region of New York. It's always been a dream for Robin to live out in the country with her family which is now something she's able to do. A lot of the inspiration for her colours come from the nature that's around her, people in her life as well as her favourite books, fantasy is one of her favourite genres and she loves to bring extra whimsy to her colourways.

Robin is passionate about making sure her business is focused on sustainability, she reuses both her dye bath water as well as the water she soaks the yarn in. All of her yarn labels are made from recycled paper and makes sure she recycles and reuses as much as she is able. She was taught from a young age that we are all responsible for the earth we live in and this is reflected in the way she chooses to run her business. 

When Robin isn't dyeing up divine colourways you can find her reading, drinking tea as well as gaming.
