Choose your favourite painting kit to knit this gorgeous rectangular blanket. Simple slip stitches form a brick motif that is simple but elegant so you only have to work with one colour at a time. The blanket is framed with simple i-cord edges resulting in clean and crisp edges. With only one colour being worked at a time, this is blanket is ideal for both adventurous beginners and experts who want a relaxing and cosy knit.

Yarn that is dyed in batches may have some variation in colour between skeins taken from different lots. We take great care in photographing our kits and yarns accurately, however colours may vary slightly from the pictures.

About the pattern

Gather a colourful collection of DK and worsted weight yarns to knit this rectangular blanket. Slip stitches form the brick motif, so you only have to work with one colour at a time. Choose a main colour to frame all of the contrast colour pops. This pattern is great for using leftover bits of yarn for the brick stripes. I-cord edges frame the perimeter for a crisp clean finish. Choose between the small or large width and customise the length by knitting as many bricks as you want. This blanket is very beginner friendly, so you can enjoy your beautiful colours with easy to knit stitches.
