AUGUST 2021 - JESSIE MAE MARTINSON

 Our August Designer of the Month is Jessie Mae Martinson aka Jessie Maed Designs. She is an Ojibwe/Filipinx artist & knitwear designer living on unceded Anishinaabe land in Chicago, IL. 

We love her designs which focus on creating modern, minimal, wearable designs with an emphasis on inclusion, making knitting more approachable and accessible to everyone while helping to create spaces in the community where marginalised people feel safe, seen, and celebrated. 

All of her patterns are size-inclusive, written with beginners in mind, and sold using a Choose What You Pay pricing model to assist with financial accessibility.
