MAY 2022 - CINTHIA VALLET

Our Designer of the Month for May is Cinthia, who creates her fun and playful designs under the name FROM CINTHIA. 

Living in the west of France with her husband, four children, cat, dog, and warrior fish, Cinthia brings an array of adorable knitted animal characters to life with yarn. Cinthia loves knitting, creating toys, writing, and reading children’s literature, and all of these ingredients merged together into FROM CINTHIA designs. Being totally captivated by the magic of soft sculpture and passionate about seamless knitting, Cinthia loves to see the animal characters appear in her hands and to focus on the knitting process, not just the finished result. For Cinthia, knitting up these designs is a space to dream and play.

Because her toys are knit seamlessly, Cinthia likes to think of the knitting process as growing the toy rather than building it, as it’s up to you to bring the soft sculpture to life! 

At the moment Cinthia is working with Laine on her first book, fulfilling her dream to make a book and create a cozy, beautiful paper house where all of her knitted animals can live together.
