Natasha Sirgant is the wonderful dyer behind Artemis Yarn, which she founded in 2016 after feeling inspired and motivated to create her own colour ways. Natasha learnt to knit when she was 11 and grew up in a very creative and artistic household in Toulouse, France, leaving her inspired by museums, antique sculptures, paintings, and greek mythology. Artemis Yarns combines Natasha’s love for painting and fibre, allowing her to be experimental and bold with colour combinations and playful palettes.
Artemis Yarns is all about speckled effects and sprinklings of gorgeous colour, and because Natasha has a strong passion for fades, her yarns work perfectly in a faded palette. Her dyeing style is ethereal and vibrant, incorporating gorgeous pastels that have us feeling like we’re knitting up a dream world. Although she loves all colours of the rainbow, her favourite tones are purple/violent and mint/aqua. Natasha is very conscious about using the best quality and most ecological wool she can, sourcing fibre that has been ethically farmed and is mulesing free. Ultimately, Natasha’s goal is to create the prettiest yarns to fulfil all knitters, crocheters, weavers, spinners, and and fibre artists’ wildest dreams!
