There is something so distinct and unique about the explosion of colours from Qing Fibre and we can’t wait to get our hands on one of their kits for this year’s MKAL.
Layla began the wonderful dye house Qing Fibre in 2016 after feeling uninspired by the yarns then available, injecting her signature colours into the world of wool. Originally from Beijing, Layla attended art school and trained as a landscape designer. She now works in South London with a team of like-minded creatives to bring us all their signature speckling and their keen eye for colour in variegated ombrés. Qing Fibre currently release their yarns on 15 different bases that are sourced ethically from Peru and England, ranging from functional wool to exotic cashmere, alpaca and cotton. Layla and her team take great pride in how much time goes into dying each skein, making each skein like no other and ensuring that your MKAL knit will be truly wonderful and unique.
