Pattern details

Choose three colours of yarn from light to dark and fade them together throughout the textured stitches of this top-down sock. These socks were inspired by my Glittering Snowscape Shawl, a delightful collage of eyelets and textured knit purl patterns. Life in the Long Grass’ High Twist Sock base produces crisp and lively stitches as you work some simple lace, ribbing, a fun Pillar Stitch technique, and several other simple stitch patterns. The heel features a garter stitch heel flap followed by gusset shaping. Instructions include notes to help customise your foot length. Treat your toes to this colourful collage of stitches!

The sample used about an equal amount of yarn for all 3 colours. I recommend having a bit more than the total recommended yardage to give yourself more freedom with your faded colour transitions.
