Best selling author and designer, Susan Crawford, has long been associated with a vintage aesthetic, but in Evolution, she has taken inspiration from vintage garments which she studied and recreate for The Vintage Shetland Project and has reimagined them as highly wearable, contemporary pieces; designed to be worn and fun to knit.
Each design is modelled by Susan, as she explores her own evolution after undergoing a double mastectomy as a result of breast cancer. The powerful images feature Susan without prosthesis to hopefully help normalise this often hidden result of surgery.
There are thirteen highly-wearable, colourwork and lace patterns in this collection including sweaters, cardigans, hats, shawls, socks and mittens, all with a modern fit and contemporary styling: Perfect for an everyday wardrobe.
All garment patterns include a wide range of sizes to fit from 71cm (28in) to at least 157cm (62in).
Full colour charts are provided for colourwork patterns and both charts and written instructions are provided for lace patterns.
