Knit your way through the winter blues with these gorgeous house socks from Westknits. Knit in a DK weight gauge, you can knit a new pair of socks in record speed! The broken stitch and plump cable braid will keep you cosy through the rest of winter. The cuff, leg, and foot are easily customisable, so you can get the sock that suits you.

Yarn that is dyed in batches may have some variation in colour between skeins taken from different lots. We take great care in photographing our kits and yarns accurately, however colours may vary slightly from the pictures.

About the pattern

Make some cosy house socks with DK weight yarn! These cabled socks are knit top-down with a broken rib stitch and a plump cabled braid. Choose between four sizes and enjoy the relaxing rounds of textured stitches. The DK weight gauge produces a quick-to-knit project that’s perfect for gift giving or a fun weekend project for yourself.

Finished Measurements

6 (7, 9, 10)′′ / 15 (18, 23, 25) cm leg and foot circumference. Measurements taken after blocking.

Size 3 shown on a size US 13 / EU 47 size foot that has a 10.5′′ / 27cm foot circumference. The sock fits with 1.5′′ / 4cm of negative ease.

Socks are designed to fit an actual foot circumference of 7.5 (8.5, 10.5, 11.5)′′ / 19 (22, 27, 29)cm. The socks are designed to fit with negative ease. Choose a size with a finished foot circumference measurement that is approximately 1 – 2′′ / 2.5 – 5cm smaller than your actual foot circumference, so that the sock will fit nice and snug on your foot.

The lengths of the cuff, leg, and foot are easily customizable by knitting more pattern repeats for a longer leg or foot or fewer pattern repeats for a shorter leg or foot.
