These new kits are dyed on a super-soft merino cashmere nylon base. Subtle variances in the colour may be expected due to the small-batch hand-dyed process and slightly different fibre content of the superwash merino, cashmere and nylon (MCN) yarn. The photo shows the original kit dyed on Oliva & Oliver's Blue Faced Leicester base. This new pre-order kit features the colours in the photo, but dyed on the new fingering-weight Cashmere Kaleidoscope 50g base.

This year's shawl invites you to create a dynamic contrasting colour palette with eight colours of fingering-weight yarn. Explore fragmented geometric shapes and reflective colour contrasts with the kaleidoscope inspiration. It's a great opportunity to step outside your comfort zone, learn something new, and gather together with Stephen West and thousands of knitters from all around the world.

About the Pattern:
To create this wearable piece of art, you’ll need to purchase the pattern on Westknits or through ravelry.com. For 4 weeks, starting 1 October, you will receive a clue (set of instructions) to knit a section of the Color Kaleidoscope Shawl. The first clue will also guide you through the placement of your 8-colour palette. Please note this pre-order kit will arrive after cast on.

About the Kit:
This kit contains 8 skeins of fingering weight yarn in a colour palette chosen to highlight the sharp geometry of the design. For each colour, you’ll receive a 50g skein of hand-dyed, superwash merino, cashmere and nylon blend yarn from Oliva & Oliver. And no Westknits KAL would be complete without a goodie bag!
