This gorgeous circular blanket was inspired by 2020's Mystery Knit Along Shawl: Slipstravaganza! Slip stitch honeycombs expand into bubble stitches, and then into a simple slip stitch motif and chevrons. As you knit with only one colour at a time, this blanket is perfect for adventurous beginners who want to knit their first large colour-work piece or advanced crafters who want a nice, relaxing project.

Yarn that is dyed in batches may have some variation in colour between skeins taken from different lots. We take great care in photographing our kits and yarns accurately, however colours may vary slightly from the pictures.

Each pattern has different yarn requirements, so you should always check how much you will need before choosing a kit.

About the pattern

This circular blanket was inspired by the Slipstravaganza shawl from the Westknits Mystery Shawl KAL 2020.

Choose four colours of DK weight yarn and begin the blanket in the centre as you increase toward the border. Slip stitch honeycombs expand into bubble stitches, which are both surprisingly simple to knit. Stop after the bubbles for a small blanket, or continue with more slipped stitches and chevrons for a large statement piece. You only have to work with one colour at a time throughout the entire project.

The large size is perfect for a big bedspread and the small size makes a lovely decorative throw.

The pattern is written for 3 CCs, but the Small Size sample features more colours for a scrappy colour pop effect. There are notes throughout the pattern to help you estimate how much yarn you need for each section.
